I liked dev-ops, hanging out in the data center...

You get to meet a lot of interesting people in a data center. Plus I loved all the bio-metric technology that is used in gaining admittance into the data center. Made me feel like I was important. The data center was also closer to my house so that made my commutes easier. Dev/Ops wasn't PHP development, but learning all about PuppetRedis and Memcached and mastering them was fun. Up to this point, they had just been hobbies, but now I was paid to learn them. Having the website run through version control was also something that had never been done at this company so learning and setting up GIT was also a treat.

During my time as a Dev/Ops engineer, I was presented with an opportunity for a new job. A systems administrator job for another startup. This was familiar.

On to my next adventure >>>
